• Director of Marketing and Public Affairs, The Gelato Fiasco. Leads all marketing and community engagement projects for growing super-premium dessert company. Develops brand initiatives, oversees consumer-facing web site (www.gelatofiasco.com), manages social network projects, and writes e-mail and press release copy. (September 2008 to Present)
• Served as web editor and strategist for syndicated television show “Late Night Republic with Jake Sasseville.” With small team of consultants, built web framework from scratch, including flagship web site  and social network properties. Implemented online sponsorship campaigns for Proctor and Gamble’s Pringles Xtreme brand. (July 2010 to April 2011)
• Implemented web operations for syndicated talk show “The Edge with Jake Sasseville,” which has aired on network television affiliates in more than 30 states (www.edgewithjake.com). Deployed online advertising for partnerships with Ford Motor Company and retailer Overstock.com. (2007 to 2008 and 2010)
• Knight Foundation News Challenge Finalist. Proposal for digital investigative journalism organization was named in top 69 (3 percent) of more than 2,323 applications worldwide. (2009)

S.A.D. 75 / Bowdoin College, AmeriCorps*VISTA (Brunswick – Topsham, Maine)
• Through a full-time placement with national public service program, coordinated coalition that places college students as mentors for children in six public schools. Created new recruitment and marketing initiatives that increased program capacity by 27 percent. August 2007 to August 2008.

The Bowdoin Orient, Editor-in-Chief (Brunswick, Maine)
• Responsible for all editorial and administrative operations of the nation’s oldest continuously published college weekly newspaper. June 2006 to May 2007.
• Oversaw a $50,928 budget and managed a paid staff of 20 students.
• Implemented numerous improvements, including a complete visual redesign of newspaper; a $12,000 computer systems upgrade; the creation of a senior investigative reporter position; the creation of an ethics policy; and breaking news alerts on orient.bowdoin.edu.
• The redesigned newspaper won second place in its class in the best of show competition at the Associated Collegiate Press’s spring 2007 national convention.
Notable reporting in four years at the newspaper included the a report detailing salaries of administrators; a major investigation into the college’s closed-door disciplinary system; an inquiry into student voting rights; and original reporting on a prominent U.S. Senate candidate’s unusual college-era newspaper columns.

Lewiston Sun Journal, Page Designer (Lewiston, Maine)
• Designed six to 10 pages each night using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, wrote headlines and captions, and copy edited stories for a multi-edition daily regional newspaper. Worked under deadline pressure and used news judgment to determine page content and appearance. June to August 2006.

• Completed two full-time paid internships for Senator Susan Collins. Summers 2004 and 2005.
